G5 for sure, most wireless mouses suck in my opinion

Been using the G5 w/ G15 keyboard, very happy with both. Drop the dimes, it's worth it

Regular old Microsoft Optical does the trick for me. I hate the smooth scrollers though, so I bought a couple of the one with staged wheels. Nice, solid bumpy feel for switching weapons.

yeah good point and well stated unless you are doing some business functions and need to move around a lot, the wireless is for you otherwise get the one with the cable, also if you get wireless one you are going to waste so many batteries.

I've had my G5 for about a lil over a month by now, and it is the best mouse I have ever owned.  Although before I got it, it was hard to choose between the G5 or the MX-518, either way I'm still happy with my decision.

What you'll get with the G5:
-Customizable Weight Cartridge w/ fancy container
-Comfortable shape with rubber grip
-Silky smooth feet
-Braided-fabric type cord that is less prone to clinging onto your desk/keyboard tray.

I'm also a previous owner of 2 flawed Razer mice, the Diamondback and the Copperhead.  Previously my Copperhead was being such a pain in the ass with its double-click issue.  Where the mouse would register as a double click without fully depressing the left mouse button.  I figured out a cheap way to fix this by shaving off a thin layer of the piece of plastic that comes in contact with the clicker thingy.  Anyways this lasted for a month or so, until I said screw it and got the G5.

I've used both  - both are laser and seem to work the same, the MX has got more buttons as well but does take some getting used to. My friend has one and he says its better and more comfortable than a G5.

What's so wrong with wireless? I haven't had any troubles with mine.
