New glitch?

I was playing warlord then I killed a guy with schock paddles but in the top left side says that I have killed him with rpk-74 lmg so is this new glitch or old glitch?

On another note... I was playing warlord a while ago and a message said something like-
xxxxx [25mm Cannon] yyyyyyy
What and Where the hell is the 25mm cannon?

i believe there is a certain range which it actually registers the shock paddles... if it's too far away, you still kill them, but it credits whatever hit them first...

I experimented with this a bit. However, this was on vanilla, and i hardly EVER got that message, but one day i got it 3 times or so, so me and a clan mate tested it out...
