Jesus is a divine superbeing capable of effortlessly transmuting matter, among other things. Jesus allowed Himself to die. If he didn't, he wouldn't have died. If, upon return, He doesn't want to get killed by an atomic bomb, he wouldn't. As a Superman's Superman's Superman, if He reappeared and made Himself apparent, people couldn't kill Him even if they decided to, unless he allowed it. On a superhero stats class between one and ten, He'd be beyond measurement.
Also: Nuclear weapons are not the most powerful force in the world, and I have a hard time taking anyone who claims absolute knowledge of God one way or the other seriously.
