I dont support terrorism! and yes I do know that the IRA has commited terrorist acts. . . .
With that said, I support the IRA message of wanting a united Ireland, free of the crown. However, the IRA is different in al-qaeda/other terrorist groups in the sense that they are ONLY fighting the British government. The IRA isnt blowing up buildings in the USA or in the Sudan etc etc. Still, they are by and large a terrorist organization who has killed civilians, which is unacceptable!
The IRA as it was before is basically disorganized, although they have the Sinn Fein which is a nationalistic party. I dont support the IRA's car bombings or anything like that, because it would be contradictory on my part. I simply support a united Ireland, free of the crown, and free to be one country without another holding court in the upper half. If one day England were to release Northern Ireland back to the Irish, I would be extremely happy!
The situation in Northern Ireland is a diplomatic one, a problem that cannot be solved by violence.
