I just recently got the BF2 Deluxe pack with Special Forces and for some reason I get LAG really bad when playing Special forces only.I know its not system lag, for one I have a freaken super computer, and for two I barely have anything on it. Any ideas on how I can get rid of this lag?

If you are not downloading anything then turn down your settings

1 what is this "super computer" and 2 what internet connection do you have?

One: Super Computer = Dual GeForce 7900 GT Video cards
                                    Crosshair Motherbaord
                                    X-Fi Soundblaster sound card
                                    2 gigs of Corsair RAM
                                    AMD 64 Athlon X2 Dual-Core processor
                                    350 gig hardrive
Two: Internat: Cable

And David I think you might be right, but one thing I noticed today is when I played Special forces it lagged so i went to BF2, but after playing Bf2 I went back to SF and I had almost absolutly no lag, although I did lag a little in the end, but other wise it ran nice.

type: PB_sleep 500   then type  PB_writecfg      in the in-game console. That took about all the lag away. Haven't had much lag ever since.

Wow, nice. I had to turn my setting down for SF as the graphical load (textures?) is much higher than vanilla but I wouldn't have thought you'd have any problems with that monster hardware... course it depends on what settings you're playing at. If you're using 1280 x 1024 with everything maxed out then turn stuff down for crying out loud! And count yourself luck you're not playing Rainbow Six: Vegas

Reduces the number of times PunkBuster reports each second. It's legit and one of the major tips for reduction of lag.

It might be the extra software from the X-Fi.

I played a few rounds of Warlord today, no lag at all.

I used to lag so much I couldn't play with my old computer.

Well that still say what it does, but if its hosted by BF2S I'm sure it won't do any harm, well I'll give it a try.
