America's Army is great for low-end computers. I can play it on all highest settings with my Radeon 9600 at 1024x768. I also have 2GB of RAM though. He should upgrade his RAM if possible every so often.

theres a few of them so just get one that matches his system specs. most people are at worst indifferent to racing games so you have no worries.
nfs underground or underground 2 were pretty good.

I sugess you to just buy him Counter Strike, as you know one of the best game online and that dont need high setings

Oh man, definately! That game was so fucking sick! I played it once at my cousin's house and couldn't stop since. I've played it so many times since then, the second ones ridiculously hard though, I don't like the whole stealth part of the game.loonitic wrote:

Also, a game that he WILL get addicted to for a low end machine is Deus Ex. I loved that game so much and I couldn't stop playing it. I played the first mission for 4 hours straight just looking for different things to do. It's probably like $10 at most too. Definately in my Top 5 games of all time.
