Titan Mode is pissing me off!

I tried playing Titan for the first time since I bought the game (back in October), and where EA said that when v1.05 had come out, the lag should stop 'a lot'. Every time I enter a vehicle I can't even move (the screen freezes!!) and when I enter the enemy Titan it moves every 5-10 seconds!!!

EA really need to sort this fucking mess out!!

To the OP, maybe your connection just sux, your hardware isn't optimized, or you're just a computer idiot. Ever think about that? I'm sick of people not trying to help themselves a little before coming on here and complaining about EA. I'm a 17 y/o(16 when BF2 started) and my computer is old and barely up to the minimum specs for most games I play. But I took the time to optimize it and poke around and look for programs that may help me. I also couldn't host Warcraft III games due to a router and I didn't know that would happen. SO I got on google and searched for it. What do you know? I found out how to do it, set myself up a static IP, configured my router to allow me to host and kept the whole house online. Stop your whining.

Exactly. You think you have the worst lag? my ping is 400 when im on aussie servers and im in sydney. i lag so much that people glide across the ground, in fact, i can't play 2142, i haven't played for days since Optus ripped me off. I used up alot of the bandwidth or something, and now they cut it in half. At once, not over time, thats why i never advise anybody to get optus, i highly reccomend some other brand, they are stingy and really fuck me off.

meh. i think it depends on the server, server population, etc. if you think it is laggy now, think of the beta...holy crap..disconnects/server crashes every 5 minutes.

admittedly, i stopped playing titan a long time ago. our server runs city maps 24/7, and it really helps you with competition more then titan does. and seeing im leading said competition for our clan, i think it is good.

i never really lagged i only ever lagged when the titans were moved so close together by the gay ass commanders.

I wouldn't say that Titan mode is much laggier than conquest, especially after patch 1.05...

It depends on the CONNECTION, SYSTEMS SPECS and SERVER.

For example, there are low-ping servers, which are really laggy me (pings like 30-40, "Brandenburg Titan #x" or something), while there are no lags on other servers with higher pings (60-80).

I would suggest author of the topic to check his PC and connection before posting things like this.

Same thing.
Its just 5-10 minutes of ground combat and than 90% of people move to the titans.
I never lag on the ground, but when inside the Titan with about 15 more players it gets laggy but playable but BORING as hell. Conquest mod when you have dozens of armors on both side, all fighting for one flag is proper fun.

Not much lag at all now since I stopped playing on 48 players servers.

Just try to play on 32 player ones or less, you will notice a big improvement.

The beta may have had disconnects and server crashes but atleast titan mode didn't lagg to fuck. In fact, it never lagged at all for me, just my usual shitty FPS

used to lagg like crazy, now i only lagg bad if the titans are really close together or are moving at the same time, i tend to stcik to servers with a 32 max players, i find this helps

Theres like 2 servers in australia.

there a rapefest to be honest. I mean, i do alright in them, but in 32 player servers your free to move around and i do so much better. In 64 you can't ''attack'' because theres so many people to come up against at once. You really got to be defensive and hang back and make the enemy come to you.

depends on the server and your computer. A good server wont lag or very little at all. And on the flip side some people have computers that just choke on it. Me i play on a laptop and I can play just fine

Since they stopped the titans moving the lag has dropped a LOT. Still get it occasionally when the AA gunners are spamming each other (don't understand why people do that ????). A knife in the back usually stops that though.

Get more lag in a walker now, quite often I start gliding but everything else runs OK...
