BF2S Forums Should Europe join the United States?

What the hell is this doing in debate and serious talk???

Get this piece of trash over to the Junk Drawer where it belongs. The concept of European countries joining the US is as ludicrous as trying to breathe through your ass.

For the love of god what do they teach you lot? the USA didn't fucking save our hides in WW2.

The saving was the job of the coalition of UK, US, Canada, Australia, Russia etc etc etc.

If anything it was the Russians that should take credit for knocking the wind out of the Wehrmacht out on the Eastern front, as already discussed in that other thread started by Serge.  And personally that's my stance as well.

Do you have any idea how much you annoy Europeans and especially Brits when you claim you saved our hides? Those dead British/Australian/Russian/Canadian soldiers that took part in D-Day & WW2? You're are insulting them.  So FUCKING quit it.

The fact of the matter is that those dead Brits/Australians/Canadians wouldn't have made a fuck of a difference to the outcome of the war for western europe without our logistical and military support and know-how. Go cry to momma if you wanna disregard the reality of the situation.

I'm sure our next president whoever that may be will make it his primary job once we do pull outta Iraq is to make up with our European allies. I dont really have a problem with the joining of the EU and the US, but does this joining also include Canada and Mexico? What about the UK? I can sorta see the UK joining up before the EU does. I think eventually we will combine into some kinda North American/European alliance whenever WW3 arises. But other than that I think we would be fine just remaining allies without joining up permanantly. I do like most Europeans though.

I do agree that the US didnt soley defeat Germany in WW2, but I do think that after the war that our presense in Europe detered the Soviets from taking all of Europe. I mean who really had the resources to stop them from just mopping up all of Europe once Germany was defeated? The UK certainly couldnt do it by themslves and thats about all the Soviets wouldve faced if the US had left once the war had ended.
