BF2S Forums Does anyone realise that BF2142 isnt as popular as BF2?

Yep, Did you know 2142 sold 1/10 of what BF2 did on the openng day?

Actually last I checked it was neck-and-neck. I use qTracker (reincarnate of ASE) and have both games listed. Did a scan and got around 4500 players for each game, with 200 or so more for BF2. (Ranked)

You determine what is right?   I love 2142.

Eh, people who have never played 2142 say it"sux"(proper english please).  Now, your gonna say a game that has had a year and a half to build of a player base is better becasue it has more players?  I can point out games that are completly text based that have more players online at one time the BF2.  Give 2142 some more time to get people into the game.  Many dont like the "scifi" aspect of 2142, which turns them off to the game.  The stats also play a role, to many people get attached to a worthless number "my ego is bigger on BF2, why bother starting my ego over again?".

Those who say they dont play becasue of bugs, let me remind you, in the months following BF2s release their were a bunch of bugs and glitchs as well, so claiming the bugs are worse in 2142 is complete crap.  1.3 anyone?

I have to put my $0.02 here, BF2142 is more fun than BF2 will ever be...wanna know why?  Because I feel comfort in the fact that there is no god damn 24/7 Karkand-esque map, with armor whores raping the spawns time and time again.  No dolphin diving, none of the bugs that BF2 started with that were horrific and people exploited to death.  The limitations of air power so that there is no God-damned J-10 in this game.  Dice should have been all lined up and shot in the face for allowing that, along with the other imbalances between the armies.  The balancing of vehicles...balancing and customization of kits.  And teamwork...does teamwork ring a bell?  Oh that's right, everyone's busy spamming grenades in Karkand Alley and not caring who the fuck they hit as long as they go spam happy with something.

Bottom line: one guy cannot single-handedly rape an entire team in an invincible plane.  Or in a tank.  or APC.  Your victory is now based on how well you work with your team.  People who stick with BF2 are stat whores or people unwilling to fork over $50 for a better gaming experience.  Or they truly believe that BF2 is better...hah, yeah right.  I gave up when I realized that they fucked up a lot of stuff, made the G36E into a sniper rifle for a medic, and created so many well-hated maps.  Give it a few months guys...people will buy BF2142 slowly when they finally realize 'oh hey, this game is a lot better!'

i paid for 2142, discovered that IS NOT a better experience, and want my doggamm money back.

Really? I've found in Australia that most of the 2142 servers are packed out in prime time. And of course its true that people dont want to let go of their BF2 stats. Imagine if the BF2 stats slate was wiped clean when 2142 was released, there'd be a whole lot more players jumping over and giving it a go.
