Legos vere awesome when they still enforced the idea of having just about all parts attachable to each other. Basically shit went bad when they started making curvy blocks.

Space Police, Rock Raiders. Then theres was that other space set where everything was black red and silver (I think) and they had a big tracked robot.
I even remember this picture Loved looking at the themed dioramas they used to set up like that.
