So which describes you best then? I always thought I was a half full person, but it has been pointed out that no matter how well things go, I'm always looking for better. That to me suggests there is no good or bad per se about these.

I could have also added "We're gonna need a bigger glass" or "Don't have a glass" but they are really just extreme versions of the first two.

Glass is too big; in the lazy sort of way. There's no point in trying to fill it; you can never do so. So stop trying, and appreciate the glass for what it is already.

Similarily, I often use a quote of mine (yes, mine)
"Some people find and open the door to life. I broke through the window."
That's just the shortened version of an entire essay I wrote on it. Pretty much saying how my philosophy on life is just taking the easy way, be it legal or not. Taking short cuts, without going the 'normal' way, as long as it benefits me in the short term, in the long run is of no concern today.

The glass is neither half full nor half empty. Nor is the glass too big or the water too small.

It's all subjective and therefor, either way, is not a true, objective, view of reality.

Is there even a glass to begin with?

I learned my first year in college that the glass is none of the above. The glass is broke. That's why my parents always gave me plastic cups. Now I have my own plastic cups that are so cheap and easy to get for free (as well as being well made) that if I don't do dishes I can just throw them away.

Kind of both in a way for me. I voted Half Full because I'm an optimistic person. However, I say it's Half Empty because I'm always looking ahead. I think of it as I am going to empty the glass, I am half way there, therefore it is half empty. If I were filling it, I would think it would be half full.
