Wont happen, Scotland can't support itself currently no matter how much that want to. Might happen in the future if they strenghten their position a bit more.

If England keep playing the way they are currently then I wouldn't be surprised that Scotland, Wales and Nth. Ireland want to disassociate themselves from them. (if you don't get it you don't get it.)

Ahem - the union jack  contains the 3 crosses of St Patrick, St George, & St Andrew and is the flag of Great Brittan, not the UK. Muslims will probably ban it because it's offensive

Lesson over..

On the plus side
Northern Ireland's economy would do much better if we split from the UK. Even if we had Euros instead of the pound. The strong pound makes it hard for Northern Irish Business to trade in the Republic of Ireland and make Republic companies stronger.
On the Neg.
Civil war may break out as the Loyalists start their own 'struggle' to have Northern Ireland Reunited with the UK. Personally I think there will be a few incidents but it won't get too outa hand if the Republic throws the 'leaders' of loyalism namely the godfathers of the loyalist terrorists organizations ,a few million.

Ahem.

It IS the flag of the UK and has been since 1801. It is also the flag of Great Britain, that does not exclude it from being the flag of the UK as well.

No. Great Britain = England, Scotland and Wales. UK = Great Britain + Northern Ireland. Hence the name the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Union Flag (or Union Jack) was originally the flag of Great Britain. It was adopted as the flag of the UK in 1801 with the union of Ireland and Great Britain and has been the flag of both the UK and Great Britain since then.

First Quebec, now the Sctos and Welsh want independence? These places don't even have armies, do they?
