I just got my sharpshooter medal last night and I was hit with this profound sense of, "Ok...NOW I'm done", which kind of surprised me. I know there are guys with twice as many hours put in as me, but, for me, 800+ hrs over year; over 2 hours per day - It's kind of shocking to amount of time invested.
If anything Colonel will be the last rank I acheive since I have no plans to get the Vet Aviator (for General). I don't care for flying in BF2 - I like to see guys up close when I pwn them. So, I sense the end is near and I'm kind of sad. Guys are moving on to 2142. Servers are getting harder to find.
So, how close are the remaining diehards to calling it a career?
