Probably Canadian. Rarely an ulterior motive and good sensible soldiers. They command respect.

No.

US army and Australian Army. Canada just screws around too much, and I don't think a bunch of boy scouts could be called an army.

Australia, and not just cos im australian. everyone knows about the diggers. i mean australians have been bullet catchers for the british since the boer war, and then for the americans since vietnam. and diggers have always been known to fight with bravery and distinction basically since they first fought.

The US army are being shown a lot of 'respect' in Iraq aren't they? Things like Abu Ghraib tend to preclude you from attending 'most respected army' award ceremonies.

Damn straight, lots of respect. They're so respected they get attacked coz it must be bloody hard to kill them.

Dont think brits are perfect.  Friendly fire happens in war, we dont kill our own people on purpose.

All armies deserve respect, since they are defending their countries, despite politicians motivations.  Ask a Vietnam Veteran if he doesn't feel respect for Vietnamese Army.
I feel more respect for those who are fighting with bravery a stronger enemy.

They don't get as much respect coz they're 1337 and people are jealous.

iD SAY...the british or the united states,

the british because, are known to be sensible, and work hard to achieve their goals.. and of course they are the best trained soldiers on the face of this earth, and when iraqis where asked which army they liked the most, they said the british for their respect and communication with the iraqi locals.

the usa because they are the superpower and the sheer size of its army is huge!

Are we on about standard Army or special forces, not that it matters British army all the way.

1, SAS - special air service
2, SBS - special boat service
3, Gurkha's
4, Parachute regiment
And although not part of the army more the navy
5, Royal marines

Nice for you to say that but to say the RM are more navy then army would get you a hard time in the forces over here lol .

Gurha's are probable the hardest trained out of all the UK forces and the debate between RM and Para's on who is the best will go on for-ever but for me the SAS own it .

UK Forces ftw

Cheers for the complete lack and respect and insults. The politicians have ulterior motives not the soldiers...
Also no country on earth has more training for their soldiers than America.

Marines realy get deloyed from sea. I was talking about it the other day with a 7 year vet who has come to uni to do a masters, he said mainly they were deloyed inland, 6 months on, 4 months training in Norway and other harsh enviroments and 2 months off.

England sure as hell does. Huge chunks of our country are used for military training, what must be nearly 5% of the landmass of England is just one such training area.
