They're already dead though, and they must have some sort of metabolism that generates heat.

Also, I like the idea of Wal-Mart, but a nuclear power plant would probably be the best place to hide out. You have years of electricity and heat, even without refueling, and they're much more 'heavy duty' than a building, and they're already fortified. Also, they're always built on a large source of water to cool down the second loop coolant, so there's plenty to drink. But you'd have to have some buddies stop by the garden center and gun stores first, though. Also, even if society collapses, you have enough electricity to start a small factory.

I'm no nuclear physicist, but it seems to me that drinking the main source of cooling for an active nuclear reactor is probably not the wisest idea... unless you want to cause a meltdown killing yourself and possibly unleashing super-mutant-zombies onto the already screwed planet.

I'd choose an oil rig as a zombie shelter. Even if zombies can walk underwater, they'd be easy pickings as they climb up the pillars. Automatic oil supply means power and flamethrower ammo. Helipad included. The only thing I'd need is an off-base Walmart for gun and food supply.

Well, it's a good thing you didn't choose to run to the river, because in the cause of a Resident Evil type breakout, the water could and probably would be tainted by the virus. You drink, you start moaning "brrraaaaiiiiinnnnnnssssss!"

Also, instead of reloading ammo, I would work on medieval style "fortress" defenses, like catapults and firebombs you could toss from the roof. Boiling oil any one? j/k that probably wouldn't work on zombies. But I would recommend not just visiting the hunting section, but also the hardware section (chainsaw, circular saw, etc.) If you have no power, go for the melee variety (axe, sharp shovel, tree pruner).

ehhh i never once claimed it as my own. the only reason i never credited anyone with the source was because at the time it was a random post a buddy of mine sent me on a now defunct forum. anyways i will indeed give the person credit where it is due. also atg if you were really the fox news of the d&st you would never have found this. should change it too the magnum pi of the d&st forums.
