- Although Fox News is still the #1 rated cable news channel by a long shot, its total audience fell 24% in the past year
- Fox News' key primetime audience, viewers ages 25-54, was down 7% YoY in October. In sharp contrast, CNN Headline news was up 18% in the same demographic. MSNBC was up 19%.
- Fox News' key primetime audience, viewers ages 25-54, was down in 3Q, 38% below 2Q. 2Q had already been 22% below 1Q, and 1Q had been 28% down from 4Q05.

I watch it from time to time, perhaps as much as I watch other news programs. I dont tend to watch live debate though. I think both parties are slanted depending on the topic and which channel it is. we handle all our elections through the mail. Was first eligable to vote 6 years ago, never stepped foot in a polling place or had to deal with wonky voting machines. All I need is a pencil, a few free minutes, and a stamp.

well, from my former production work perspective, their programming hasn't changed really in about 3 years, same shows, same times, same faces. while you can't really get rid of anchor shows like hannity and colmes or o'reilly, everything needs a change out once in a while.

People want to be entertained. Regardless of what political side a program is on, it can either be boring or it can be entertaining. I consider Jon Stewarts daily show to be somewhat more liberal than conservative - yet its still funny as hell. Air America was probably just boring shit (Im from AUS so I haven't heard it). IMO it's got nothing to do with how much of the population wants to listen to what type of propaganda.

It affirms my understanding that liberals have horrible skills when it comes to organizing anything political.

It also affirms my understanding that talk radio (and other such heavily-opinionated talking head media) is most attractive to people who demonstrate the authoritarian personality type, of which amongst liberals there are very few.
