Somehow that doesn't surprise me. The liver is an amazing organ - it can regrow itself and function after losing three-quaters of itself to disease or whatever. A bit of good liver + bad liver = good liver.
The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

Pressure from anyone on moral grounds is not stopping research, lack of money is.  So they hype it as the holy grail that will cure all human disease to get funding, yet they have no results.  Nada.  None.  “We aren’t producing any results in our ESCR research so far, but that’s because there’s not enough money.  Spending more money is the answer!”   I'll take ASCR instead or cord blood.

Cord blood is extremely useful stuff.  When my daughter was born, the doctor banked her cord blood.  If we made this a standard practice, the cord blood would be a great resource.  If we’d stop killing infants before they’re born, we’d have even more cord blood.  But that’s a separate issue.  Or is it?  We’d have more taxpayers, too, so Social Security would have millions more people paying into it.  Food for thought.

You make it sound like more people is a good thing. It clearly isn't. Population growth is out of control as it is.

roflroflrofl?

nerve cells and brain cells do not reproduce.

99.5% of every cell in your body will never reproduce.  stem cell research is amazing, im a republican but political stance has nothing to do with how you feel on this subject.  it is amazing and needs to be dealt with in more depth.

it's finger tips, you can get something like the first half inch of your fingertip cut off and it will grow back, except the bone, there's a guy at my church that had his cut off, then you press on his finger tip and it just goes flat cuz there's nothing to support it. what harmor was thinking of was that your ears and nose are cartilage and never stop growing.

Yes I believe the only place where you can get stem cells (I take it this is what you mean by nerve cell) in an adult is in the nose

Not the only place. You can get them from the nose, but you can also get them from; bone marrow, muscle, the brain and the boobies.
