hi,

i hardly play SF cuz of the major lag its gives me...
why is this?
when playing "regular" BF2 theres no problem at all...
i always have ping of around 20-30.

is there a patch i shud install to fix it that i dont know of?

i have the 1.4 retail patch installed for BF2 and before that, the game just crashed on load screen from time to time...
with the patch all runs great, only SF is giving me so much lag its impossible to play it.

thx for any reply.

That's basically graphics lag I think. There's a higher graphics load in SF (more detail in the textures or higher polygon count, something like that).

When I got my own copy of SF and started to play it regularly I quickly realised I had to drop my settings down from what was playable in vanilla.

i always get incredible lag just at the start of the round, but that happens to most people on SF ive heard, otherwise im fine.

Have you tried updating your graphics card driver?
I never thought it would make much difference untill yesterday when I updated mine, and now I hardly get any lag with all medium settings, before I could hardly play on low. So it does help... alot.

Rgr that. OAZ, you graphics card is probably the bottleneck in your system. I don't think a driver update would do much tho. I suggest an upgrade as soon as possible or when you get some extra cash. If you have an AGP card, it may cost a little more cuz you'll need a PCI-E mobo, but it's so worth it.

i always install the latest drivers...
ive noticed that its only on some servers.... others are fine and gameplay is normal (except on gamestart yeah....)
so i dont think it has only to do with my weak card....

im planning to build a whole new machine after the holidays tho cuz this one has been running for about 3 yrs now...
(if theres some money left cuz my wife wants to replace her viewtube with a more modern lcd one )

television... what a wast of time/cash
