Old Dave "Hey me in the future what game am I playing?"

Now Dave "Well for the last year Ive been playing BF2."

Old Dave "Sounds neat, so how many levels does it have?"

Now Dave "Um, there's no levels."

Old Dave "Oh, um are the Bosses cool?"

Now Dave "Uh, um, there's no Bosses."

Old Dave "Well how about quests or missions?"

Now Dave "Nope."

Old Dave "Well WHAT do you do then, what do you kill?"

Now Dave "Everybody thats playing the game."

Old Dave "So how's the AI?"

Now Dave "Good question."

Remember Levels, Bosses, Quests, Items....

lolz end of level bosses, there arn't enough of those in games these days
The one's in rainbow islands were quite nasty if I remember

I think Doom was the first multiplayer for me, was about '95 at work, six of us networked together at lunch time.

I really miss the old games. The new ones are fun. Remember when Atari came out (Yea, fuck you I am that old). It's was like that. Just amazing. Everything now seems to run of the mill. Like a machine just pushes games out with not real content or thought.

Then again, I am just getting to old for this shit I suppose........

I used to work in a secure area that we could lock up, keep everyone out and play for most afternoons. those were the good old days.

BF2 does have one thing in common with games from 1996 though (Diablo 1 for example). There are still people going to where they know stuff will spawn and waiting until it does.

The only difference was in Diablo 1 it was monsters, in BF2 its twelve year olds.
