I like small guns typically but this one was just too small. I could only fit 2 fingers on it.

I kinda like the idea of having a safety as well.

I few of my military buddies have given me tips on how to hold weapons correctly. I was wondering if you guys could tell me if my stance is correct.

When I was firing that M14 it felt right and I was able to control the recoil pretty well, but then I looked at the picture and now I'm not so sure.

So am I holding the weapons properly?

Standing square puts the recoil through your entire body and lifts the barrel higher for each round
Standing with a back foot like you do puts the recoil through that foot and helps manage keep it minimal.

I guess it all come down to the experience of the shooter...maybe for your guy that shoots a box or 2 of ammo a year, its best to be less square?
