Most states do not require firearm registration. If you go through an FFL, there will be a paper trail, but if it is purely a private transfer, no government records will be generated.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

Superbly engineered pistol but I'd rather spend that kind of money on a rifle or optics. $2k plus or minus is too much for a range toy that I'd always be terrified of dropping.Dilbert_X wrote:

Just ordered myself a new competition airgun

I live on the dank(super) side of Oregon, I don't have much of a choice. And a little rain never hurt anything, it's a good way to rinse the mud off.Dilbert_X wrote:

Not really up on my Sig Sauer pistols.
Someone give me the short course on what makes the p210 exceptional?
What kind of action is it? Browning derivative, M1911 derivative?
Looking for a good .45 or 9mm soonish.
Was looking at the Sig p220 in .45, or another "old reliable" FN HiPower Mk III.
Accuracy and reliability are paramount - and 'it costs what it costs' to get good equipment.

It's truly , the LP300 was exceptional and this one is better ... if you are in the "flow", feel comfortable and have found your stance you can shoot bullseye after bullseye

They're best known for their inherent accuracy. They're quintessentially Swiss; beautiful machining and finishing inside and out, tight tolerences, exceptional trigger. And they've got a delightfully low bore axis, very un-sig sauer. A fifty year old police issue P210 will generally sell for about the same price as a brand new P210. although if I had to choose I'd take a newer model with a side mounted mag release and apparently improved safety selector.rdx-fx wrote:

Billet machined slide and frame. Full length "inversed" slide rails. Recoil operated. Single action. 8 round Single Stack 9mm. derived from some french pattern. Slight difference in handling compared to most JMB derived SA pistols. What kind of action is it? Browning derivative, M1911 derivative?
P210s are definitely accurate and reliable but the caliber to capacity ratio is arguably lacking for much more than range fun. If I packed along a handgun in the woods it wouldn't be a $2k 9mm or any 9mm. And heaven forbid a P210 was used in a self defense situation, I'd hate to see one banged around or "lost" while in police evidence.Looking for a good .45 or 9mm soonish.

The P220 in .45 is always nice, especially with hogue finger groove grips.

Browning derivative essentially.
Its essentially a large frame long slide Browning HP I guess, with quality machining.
From people who have had them they're not all that forgiving, trigger is not perfect and lock time is long, a bit like the S+W M52.
For me it would be handy in .32 or .38, 9mm not so much.
Browings and CZs are good, I like SAO triggers, otherwise dunno.Looking for a good .45 or 9mm soonish.

I don't see the point of a 1911 given the amount of gunsmithing and attention needed unless you're shooting Bullseye and the only gun allowed is a 1911.
Fuck Israel
I just got an email from my dad. No title just a picture.
So yeah.
I told him to get me whatever for Christmas, but goddamn. Wasn't expecting the ultimate HK handgun.

Same. Rather prefer the Browning derivative pistols (Beretta 92, HK USP/P30 line, FN HP, and such)Dilbert_X wrote:

Thanks for the schematic and review of the p210.
I miss my FN HP MkIII.
Will just get another one, and send it off to the smith for a proper trigger and barrel fitting.
Then for a short-range it's gotta get dead right now weapon, a Benelli M4 semi-auto shotgun.
Mostly for coyote hunting. Sneaky little bastards can come up behind you, and 15 feet away from a group of irritable coyotes is no place for a long-range bolt action rifle. That goes 10x for wolf and bear hunting.
jesus christ dude. bout $350k worth of firearms at ur crib? where do your parents live?
