Heard 2nd hand that certain groups using the MP5 would swim/jump with the collapsible stock (or no-stock buttplate?),
then switch out to the fixed stock when they arrived where they needed to be.
I personally never changed out my own stock.
That was armorer level maintenance, and an article 15 for me to attempt.

Accuracy.
Full auto control.
Ergonomics (M4 selector, mag release, bolt release)
Trigger pull
Armor penetration.
Cover & concealment penetration.
Field stripping.
Essentially,
if the M4 machining tolerances are tight and picky - the MP5 is goddamned Teutonic nightmare.
If the 5.56mm is a little weak - the 9mm is launching little bitty wheelchair bound chunks of lead at the target.
I think the final straw for the Army use of the MP5 was Gothic Serpent (Blackhawk Down).
Aircrews and infantry using different caliber weapons, unable to share magazines or even ammo.
Also supposedly where they figured out that the miniguns should run off of battery power, not just the heli APU.
A 22 should be fine to take on goats? I doubt pigs though, but It would be rare I'd be shooting them anyway.
And yeah, paintball markers come under CAT C here in AU, because they are semi-auto. Fucking retarded butt fuck laws. Everywhere else you buy one at a department store and then keep it under your bed. NOT HERE.

All it takes is a needle prick to make a lung start to fill up with blood, or a brain to begin to bleed, or a heart to completely disrupt. .22's are much more dangerous than people like to think, imo.

haha. What's the power difference between the .22, .22 magnum and .22 hornet. I've hunted all my life with a bow, but only ever shot one of the standard .22. I have shot plenty of weapons though from pistold, rifles, shotguns and assault rifles/ minimi.

Well I have a gunshop a few places up from my work, I'll head there, see what they stock, and then throw it all out on the table.
i imagine .22mag would splatter what it is you're shooting at (in the head mind you)
