Not to sure which one I'll get. Something cheap no doubt.
Sorry, separate thoughts. I know Beretta is an Italian company. That was a big part of the controversy when it was accepted, even though the actual pistols are built in the US.SEREMAKER wrote:

The fact is there has been no innovation since 1911, something the US military apparently agrees with since the adopted the Beretta.
There are PLENTY of US pistol designs.
The M9? There are lots of reasons, some questionable, why that was chosen.

Edit: and don't fix what isn't broken. the browning M2 .50 has been around for over half a century. the 1911 and browning are still around for a reason.

Just picked up a Beretta 92FS, to get my step-daughter familiar with it before she goes off to Army basic (in a year or so).
She qualifies expert with it [M9] next year, she owns that pistol.
Same with the match White Oak AR-15 - qualify expert with the M-16, the AR is hers.
Now I just have to change the barrel, trigger, and have a smith put 'AMU pads' on the slide...

I like my Beretta Mod. 96 Centurion! the .40 gives it a bit more punch then the M9 and yeah very easy to tear down!NeXuS wrote:

.40 bounces off skulls, .45 blows up skulls.
Your choice.

.40 s&w doesn't bounce off much. it's a nasty little cartridge.
anything less than .45 just bounces off the skinReciprocity wrote:

.357 SIG does a number, penetrates well too.

I heard 7.62×25mm Tokarev is pretty good too, penetrates a lot
ugh, I'm jealous, I wish I could pick up an SA-80 to get familiar with before I shoot off to the navyrdx-fx wrote:

No, its funny because the navy fits you perfectly.
If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
All this Beretta talk reminds me. The American Tactical C92 (Beretta knockoff/clone) is everything it should be. Shoots great, very pleased. The Mec-Gar 18 and 18+2 mags add to the
