7/9.

CPU: P4 630 3GHz @ 4.11GHz (1096MHz FSB/1.55v) (Usually, running at 3GHz (Stock) right now due to bad cooler)
GFX: GeForce 7600GS 256MB (600/480MHz (450/400 stock))
HDD: 160GB SATA2 HDD + 60GB ATA133 Backup drive
SFX: SoundBlaster Live! Digital, with a 4.1 analog system.
RAM: 2GB PC6400 XMS2 @ 825MHz
MOB: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3
PSU: HuntKey DH 500, 500w, dual 12v rails, modded fan for manual control.
Zalman ZM-MFC1 fan controller

Runs BF2 maxed with 4xAA at 1280x1024. 40+ FPS all the time but in some excessive smoke effects. Also, never any of those long several-second BF2 lags.

And steelie, you say you're tech-savy, and you complain over Lucien's computer, but yet you have a Dell, and the worst CPU/GFX combo ever.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
