Do you see a little colored line at the bottom of the screen, that matches your XP color screen?

If so, hover over it, right click, "Properties", then un-check "Auto Hide the Task Bar".

That should do it, if thats the problem.

That happened to me once. But it was just that I'll accidentally resized it (by dragging it) so that it was off the bottom of the screen. Try moving your mouse down as far as possible and dragging up.

1. Open "Task Manager" (CTRL + ALT + DELET)
2. Make Sure you have the Frist tab selected
3. Click on the "New Task" button
4. In the box type "explorer.exe" (without quotes)
5. Click "Ok"

See if this helps

Try pressing 'Ctrl+Esc'. That should open the start menu if it's there but invisible for whatever reason...

BTW. Do you still have your desktop icons?

It might be a problem caused my your resolution. What is the max resolution of your screen, what did you have it at before and why did you change it?

If you've changed the resolution to a size that is bigger than your monitor supports, it will get cut off at the bottom.

lol, that really sucks dude.  Don't worry about it... maybe it'll just pop up or something.  You weren't cheating on your XP with a Mac, by any chance?
