So with the formalities out the way i've always played with around a 15-50ms ping no problem but a couple of days ago I noticed my browser was a bit slow loading pictures etc thought nothing of it until I went to play BF2 where all the pings on the server list where over 500ms. I thought maybe there was a spike when I was loading them so I clicked on a server which is normally 20ms but it was still 450ms+ none of the other computers on our netword where turned on so I put it down to maintenence or something.
A few days passed and everything went back to normal, until yesterday same shit is happening. I ran CMD and pinged my router, 1ms reponse so I go on to ping google.co.uk and a few others and I'm also getting 500ms+ pings.
I restarted my router and PC still not difference, clicked repair network connections nothing, I can't play BF2 *wipes tear from eyes*.
I know it's not a problem with my router or computer cause I can just about pick up my neighbours wireless connection and play fine with 30ms ping and that's from accross the street! But after about 20mins ingame the game hangs and I lose connection.
So any help would be appreciated, if you've had this problem yourself or similiar? did it go away? what can i do?
As any of you who have dealt with UKonline before will know it is IMPOSSIBLE to get through to a customer service rep on the phone and when you do they are generally of little help and I find myself being passed back and forth for sometimes over 2 hours with no resolve so ringing them is a LAST resort as it is national rate and tech support is premium rate!!!!
