First of all make sure you're virus & spyware free.

Then I'd look at network card / modem drivers. Either roll them back or install the latest drivers for them.

Something else to try is Right click My Computer, select properties, Advanced tab, click startup & recovery settings. Untick the "Automatically restart" check box and click Ok. Now when your computer tries to restart you should get a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) which may contain extra info. If you can get a BSOD you might find something like NDIS.SYS or USB.SYS or some other module mentioned. This can help to identify the problem area if the first two things don't work.

also, make sure all of your fans are spinning at the right RPM (no slow fans).

If that doesnt work, try resetting the CMOS, by removing the little battery on your motherboard. Keep the battery out for like 20 minutes, then put it back in.

Does it only restart when you connect to the internet? do you mean open a browser? because if you have highspeed you'd always be connected, so do you have dialup?

If the problem is connecting to the internet you could have a faulty nic or if you have an onboard nic, it could be the motherboard. Try updating drivings for the motherboard or nic. If you've just put a fresh install of windows, it can't be a browser problem, defrag problem, virus, spyware, whatever. Does it only work for a few minutes at a time and restart always? or does it work for a few, restart and then it's fine?

What is your cpu temp? Maybe it is overheating and needs a better heatsink/fan or you need more thermal paste.

That's all I can think of without more information.

Well besicly i did a little test I started windows with out connecting to the net, left the PC on all night see if it would crash or snything. it was fine this morning ( asd I left a notepad open with the words test ) to see if it would crash during a night.

Now this morning as it was fine I connected to internet soon as I cinnect and start to browse the pages Boom PC restart

Now only thing that makes sence to me3 from above is Motherboard I have never updated Motherboard nor do I know where to find drivers for it? does anyone have a link for motherboard derivers ? Please see if that helps ?

Thanks again guys

To update the motherboard, you'll need to know the manufacturer. After that, just go to the website and look for the drivers for your model. The only drivers you will probably need to updated are for the onboard ethernet (if you have that). If not, update the NIC drivers. You might be able to get those from microsoft.com via a driver update. (right click my computer>properties>hardware>device manager>network adapters>update driver

On second thought, the onboard ethernet can probably be updated the same way, so use that for both. If that doesn't work, you either need a new NIC or new motherboard. It's got to be a hardware issue and it's more than likely an issue with the nic, whatever form you might have.

Of course I'm no genius so it could be something completely different but that's my guess.

Well the first thing you should have done is made sure the BSOD was enabled. That way instead just restarting you will get error codes.
Right click on the "My Computer" icon in the start menu
From the little pop-up menu select "Properties"
The System Properties dialog should appear
Locate and select the "Advanced" tab
The third section should be called "Startup and Recovery"
Click "Settings" from the "Startup and Recovery" section
The "Starup and Recovery" dialog will appear
The section section should be called "Systme failure" and the third option is "Automatically restart"
Uncheck "Automatically restart" and click on Ok/Apply on all open windows

Welp, Sounds like the Hard drive is fried, And also Something was still in your memory. Sounds like a virus was in memory and reinstalled itself when you reformatted. It reactivated when you try to connect to the internet.

Aside from getting a new Hard drive, I have no idea what you could do.

Go to run this then EventVwr.msc . Look for dumps or error messages. (If you haven't yet)

Edit:
Scratch that i was going off your opening post, it seems your OS is jacked up worse now.

Go into your Bios and make sure you have the right boot priorities setup. Make sure they are in the right order if you can post your options here.

I am guessing you have a USB keyboard also and that your bios has the usb ports loading after your error message loading. If you have a non usb keyboard handy try it to get into your bios.

Glad everything is working okay now.
To clear it up a bit, it wasn't service pack 1 that has a worm. Service pack 1 is just Vulnerable to the blaster worm.
