I agree with some stuff you others have said here. It's not too suprising that EA/Dice is willing to do as good as a job as they can on this one. And the fact that if any newb comes from bf2, he'll realize that he'll have to step his game up teamplay wise to do just as good. Whether or not he has just as much fun getting 1/2 the points lonewolfing all day, is yet to be seen:/

No, I think riding bicycles all day is much more fun.
yeah it looks cool and a new gameplay looks fun...but if i want a futurstic game, might as well go back to halo
I have it pre-orderd and thus will be getting it.
Why?
1) I have enjoyed ALL the BF series, this will be no different.
2) Sure they stuffed up with BF2 in regards to management of it but at the end of the day most people learn from mistakes.
3) BF2142 is being managed alot differently then BF2 just look at the beta!
4) BF2142 will introduce new revenue gathering methods for the BF series, this will create the fundage needed for work on Add-ons, Maps, and other content including patches.
5) If EA/DICE screw it over badly enough they wont only have the players to deal with, they will need to pay back money to companies that have invested into advertising campaigns on BF2142.
6) The game looks good and appeals to me.
7) BETA TEST comments and bug reports have not changed my mind because there is a reason that they did that.. to fix the issues with the current build and to stress test the game.
Anyone that judges the BETA in relation to what the final product will be.. is stupid.

No, Ill wait. BF2 has been a great ride, and I'm not planning on getting off the battlefield any time soon. It took DICE over a year for BF2 to get to the point of 1.4, and Ive been through all of them, so until I hear [h]great reports on 2142[h]... Ill see ya on the Battlefield!

If you like BF type games, yes. If your sick of poor support, lack of real patches, and all the abuse BF2 has gotten, then I would wait till the demo.
