BF2S Forums What are you doing China?

China is definitely a powerhouse is todays world economy, it seems whenever you look at a tag on a purchased item it is made in china. That aside, Ford, GM, Chrysler are investing billions of dollars in china since that they are the next world market consumer. China has "loaned" billions of dollars to the US for their war effort.
    As it stands right now, China has no need to start any wars as to they are already winning through commerce.

While they are huge in population they are at least 20 yrs behind the US in military technology

You know what's funny about that ATG?  A whole heap of rightists used to complain about how the lefts gave them negative karma for no reason and insulted them and all sorts of stuff, yet when negative karma was removed the rightists karma shot up less than the leftists.

Of course, what's really funny is that your post was basically "no, I didn't, and I hate you for making me look like a fool".

I dunno mate, I think you fail to give enough respect to the Monarchy, but, there are many people round the globe in the Commonwealth Nations who are gladly "subjects" of the Queen.  I'd imagine should her Majesty take to the balcony of Buckingham Palace and call to her loyal subjects around the globe, you greatly underestimate just how many would heed the call.  Not that I could ever envisage such a thing happening, i'm just saying if it did that power still exists.

Tibet is a historical province of China and if the Chinese wanted to expand elsewhere wouldn't they invest in power projection commonly needed for such endeavours?

Aside from Tibet, China has only crossed it's borders a handful of times in the 20th century, once during the Korean War and only then after MacArthur intimated that he wanted to bring the fight to the Chinese mainland which would possibly include nukes, once in 1979 when it invaded Vietnam after that country invaded Cambodia (a Chinese ally), and during the Sino-Soviet Border Clash in 1969, which has since been resolved by Russia and China with Russia returning control of terrirory taken during the confict.

Compared to it's neighbors and other farther removed nations, China has been largely content to stay within it's own territory.

I dont believe you ever went to China.  As much as I hate to make a personal attack..I think you seriously are a tool.  I have been to China almost 10 times and I had never viewed any racist...because um everyone in China is Chinese.  What kind of racism?  We have African students that come over to our University (I was a summer exchange student) and study & we treat them as equals.  My neighbor 2 doors down at my house in China is a soccer player that represents the Shanghai city teamand he is from Africa.  Another one of my neighbors is an Aussie and he does construction mangement in China.  Both tells me they likes it in China...so seriously fuck off with the racist shit...tool.

I agree with you. This thread just goes to show what sort of people there are out there. And when the boffins said that the 21st century would be the Asian century they didn't neccessarily mean that China and India would take over the world, ffs.

Cyborg is from "Taiwan"...citizens of Taiwan act like that because they are just pissed that the Nationalists got kicked out of China & onto the island.  Not saying anything is wrong with Nationalists and Im not gonna talk about Taiwan cause its a sensitive issue however....

People who think China is going to take over the world are idiots, racists, or possibly fanatical nationalists.  If people in the forum really represents the "gun ho" people in the world,  China deserves to build up its military to face those kinds of idiots in the world.  They really need a dose of reality check.

And yes Im Chinese and Im proud of my heritage..but Im also an American so dont say that we are anti American.  My grandfather fought for the USMC as an 2nd Lt & translator + he shot a Communist milita man.

Colonialism has been something which the Europeans have been doing for centuries, and after WWII the US, UK, France, Netherlands...all tried to secure some land in SE Asia and Europe.

No not at all China have decided to stop America from spying on them, they have the technology and money to do so unlike other countries, their choice.
