Wow 16 thats nuts in Aussie land at 16 you get your [L]'s which you can only drive with a full licensed driver and must log 50 hours before your 17 when you can get your red [P]'s which lets you drive on your own with a max speed of 90kms/h and 0.00 alcohol limit then 1 year later at 18 you get your green [P]'s which limits you to 100km/h still with the 0.00 alcohol then 2 years later at 20 you can get your full license where you can drive whatever the speed limit says and can have 0.02 alcohol, then once you have had that for 3 further years you can have a 0.05 alcohol limit
Seems pretty strict compared ot the states
