Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the second in a trilogy of new games created by Valve that extends the award-winning and best-selling Half-Life® adventure.

As Dr. Gordon Freeman, you were last seen exiting City 17 with Alyx Vance as the Citadel erupted amidst a storm of unknown proportions. In Episode Two, you must battle and race against Combine forces as you traverse the White Forest to deliver a crucial information packet stolen from the Citadel to an enclave of fellow resistance scientists.

Episode Two extends the award-winning Half-Life gameplay with unique weapons, vehicles, and newly-spawned creatures.

In my personal opinion Episode one is well worth the $20. But my only complaint is that it not a very long game and I finished it quickly.

Portals itself is worth $20, and so will be episode 2, so its a steal for both and Team Fortress 2.

Yeah, Portal and Team Fortress 2 ftw. Half-life is a bit boring.

I don't know how Half-Life is boreing to you. I thought it was great. When I'm bored I play Half-Life, HL2 and HL2 Episode 1.

Episode 1 was a bad strip tease. I fucking hated it.

This episode shit is complete bull; the concept to make video games more like tv is completely flawed.

I used to love Valve, oh well, nothing good lasts

A hard man to please? Don't you like storylines? The great storyline is what hooked me into Half-Life. You can have as many shoot-em-ups as you like, sooner or late they're just going to run int each other. The addition of a unique storyline is almost essential to get a stand-out product. It is like being in a Movie, and that's awesome! It does it so well!

Meh.

I loved Half-Life 1 and 2. They were complete games with real endings (well, not hl2 so much). The HL1 expansion packs were awesome with gasp, complete stories.

Sorry, i don't buy into the cliffhangar bs. They are getting popular for one reason, they are easy to pull off since you don't need an ending. Halo 2, an abysmal failure storywise is a prime example of this.

That said, EP2 looks more interesting then EP1. Thats not exactly an accomplishment though, EP1 had next to no new content map/weapon wise. The story was shit to, they barely revealed anything new.

True, but it stemmed the frustration of the cliffhanger at the end of HL2 - at least for a bit anyway. I honestly don't mind cliffhangers, they leave me interested, I'm a patient guy, but I was so blown away by HL2, (which Stryyker gave me a while back,) that I just went straight on to Episode One, (I'm a recent Half-Life recruit.) I guess since I played it one after the other and didn't have to wait the games merged into one another so I wasn't dissapointed with any long wait.

It's a work in progress. The whole thing will be amazing when it's done I have no doubt about that.

The experience is great, the story not so. I've heard these Valve employees talk about how they play with the players, it's all rather clever (check commentary in EP1 for a basic idea)

I like the cliff hanger at the end of Episode 1, but I wish Episode 2 would come out soon. I don't mind waiting for it to be released but I think waiting 4 months or more between releases of the game is a little too long. Episode 1 came out June 1st, I'm hoping that Episode 2 is out sometime in October. I think 4 mouths or more is a little too long to wait for a game I'm probably gonna beat in 2 hours.

Episodic gaming isnt meant to be long. There short games lasting about 5 hours.
