Being a Muslim in the U.S. at the age of 20, I don't think I feel safe as much as I did before 9/11. What do you guys think of Muslims in America? If you say anything, please give support to your idea so we can follow you as you describe it. If you like Muslims, please say so. If you don't please say no comment.

Muslims are fine, its just another religion in the world.

what bothers me, however, is people that come to live in the US, and then preach messages of hate (not necessarily terrorism-related).

Those people, along with Radical "Islamabaha Jiha" are dumb.

my experience with atheists, is that a good portion of them are very, very liberal.. So in a way, i didnt know that they did that, but im not suprised.

Lol @ more religious. . . in the intrest of full disclosure, i should say that i still believe religion is an opiate for the masses.

That being said, I tend to find muslims in America tend to follow their religion a more strictly that Christians. But to say christians is waaaaaay to general as there are many types from catholics to southern baptists to (someone help me out here) where as with Islam, you cant really be a Jihadi (sorry if any muslims are offended but hey, thats what they are) and hope to survive in American culture. In general though I tend to cut jews and muslims more slack just because they are in the minority and the majority is christian, which i have so many issues with its not funny. Now I dont mean to disrespect any TRUE christian types out there that arent full of bs. In fact i think some of them might agree that the worst examples are the ones that get the most attention. I just find too many contradictions in the bible (pick a version) and how 'christians' act. So muslims i guess are more religious. BUT, and this is my own theory here, i think its because they arent the majority. If them or say jews were the majority, i think the minority christians would be more pious.

man i hate waiting for crap to d/l...

i think the world would be better off without religion. I mean look at all the major wars i.e. the crusades, it had a hand in world war II (jews) and now this conflict in the middle east whether it be izrael, iran, iraq and us. I dont hate anyone in this world (im not a hippie). I just think we could all live in peace under no religion but that will never happen. The species of man is a horrible thing.

Yeah but with out any religion, there would be no order on earth. Human beings have the tendancy to want want want, but to never give. It's all economics if you look at it really. Supply and demand. God Supplies, but you must demand.

Its going to get bad unless peaceful Muslims start to stand up and say we dont support these radical muslims that want to kill and destroy whoever doesnt believe what they believe...

It sucks because i have Iranian,Turkish and Iraqi friends that are very cool and just want to enjoy their families and their achievements in the US... the radical islamists recruit based on hate and fear...(just the same as our retarded KKK groups and other hate based groups do) anyway... I wish peace to all... and maybe someday we can all have a beer together...

Honestly, I think that has been done before, but the ignorance of the politicians just use it in a reverse psychology method, and turn those words into bad things.

I have muslim friends. I just think some people here in America just stereotypes them as terrorists. Right after 9/11 my friends were afraid to walk around town and worry about some body harrassing them.

All religions at some point breed hate as well as peace. All extremes in life is the evil, whether it is religion, politics, money etc. We can live in peace but it will never happen. just look at ourselves, how many friends have you had and are still friendly with and never fallen out with? I have Muslim friends and most are like everyone else. I am an atheist, let God punish me if i am wrong not another human. I also believe that if we are to stop Muslim terrorism then it is with peaceful Muslims that can defeat Muslim terrorism (although we never will, evil will always triumph over good).

UK study found 25% of Muslims supported violence against the general public if they feel they are being ignored by the ruling government. 50% of Muslims under 25 years of age support this. Statistics can be used to prove anything, 74% of people know that. None of the Muslims I know kill anybody, but nowhere else in the world do you get so many suicide bombings as in Muslim countries.

I would also like to reiterate that most Muslims are not terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslim.

I think me being an atheist see's it as more of a social issue then an religion issue.. And there are white terrorists as well.

I think people need to abandon religion & accept reason into their lives so that they may think for themselves.
I have never met a Muslim, but if I did I would judge him individually like I do with everyone else, I hear they are a great people full of love & joy, I hope what I hear is correct.

What does it matter what group is more religious, they are both in error.
