help!

downloaded ok using ea downloader incremental patch.

i click on install now.

getting ready to install 0/3 and it says 0%

then nothing happens.

then i get a message that says 'there is a problem with the download service. you should try again later.'

which makes no sense in itself because i have finished downloading and i am trying to install now.

i click 'ok' on this error message.

then getting ready to install changes to 'installing'.

then i get a message that says something along the lines of 'error: 32791:5 generic problem with the download content service. there is a problem with the download service. you should try again later'.

generic error...(gives a code)' please try again later'.

i click ok on this and it still says installing but nothing is happening.

any ideas or should i just download it again using a different site/mirror?

yeah, just noticed your post on the 1.4 complain post. sucks man!

trying to download again from one of the bf2s.com mirrors. 34% and counting. will let you know if this cures it.

Try downloading the full patch from some other site than the EA downloader?

I downloaded the full version, even while I have 1.3 installed. If you have the time and speed I think you should do that as well. The full version works ok. For my.

i will try to download the full if downloading the incremental doesn't work.

the last thing i want to do is a FULL uninstall and reinstall like i had to for patch 1.3! see what happens now.

I downloaded full version with ea downloader and there is an error: 32791:5 probably caused by that, that ea downloader can't handle the loads. Here is what ea says about it: http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/ph … _topview=1

what a load of crock though. i mean, sort it out. there is no connection problem with my computer to ea downloader. if there was i wouldn't be able to download it. however, i HAVE downloaded it is the installation that is not working. they never give a straight answer do they? the straight answer in this case being 'we haven't got a clue!'

doesn't matter now. downloaded incremental off a bf2s.com mirror and it works fine. even had one round of jalalabad. seems ok.
