No one denies the curtailing of liberties during WWII. It's just that WWII actually had a mission to be completed, and once it was you knew the war was over. I think you have it backwards.  By showing the "enemy" that we have can civil disagreements with our government and policies, and can still adhere to the liberties and freedoms which made this country great, which they don't like or want, we are doing the very thing they are trying to destroy.  On the other hand, removal/curtailing of freedoms and liberty, along with blind allegiance to a party politic plays right into their way of life.

Suck it up for the duration of what?  Terrorism is an idea, not a defined government or army that we can  quantify and eradicated.  Terrorism will always exist.  So essentially what you are saying is suck it up forever?  I don't think so. 

I'm still not going to back the president on his little folly into Iraq and failed international relations.  The government can still do their wiretaps and other snooping when they obtain a warrant.

As for you last comment about my phone calls, this is the sign of some one grasping for straws when they know their argument has lost merit, and I will not justify it with a direct response.

So are you another scared little boy whos afraid of the big bad terrorists? Cause if our government did their job in a 1/2 competent manner, say like;
-not being so small minded as to not think planes being flown into buildings as viable
-develop a coherent strategy in the war on terror as opposed to screwing up foreign investigations to the point they wont work with us, using foreign intelligence agencies catches as our own, do i need to go on?
-pay attention to intelligence that you dont want to hear? some PDB's come to mind...

This state of war has been created to keep people scared (and it works!). So just because you dont have the guts to do what Americans do in a crisis, dont attempt to stop the rest of us who do our patriotic duty by asking questions and demanding a dialog. Let me say this,

the terrorist love the fact that we are fighting amongst ourselves, creating confusion and controversy. They are not afraid of it, if they were, I guess they would be running for the fuckin' hills by now,instead, they continue to try and pull off more attacks. So your little theory is pretty much BULLSHIT.

Suck it up for the duration of what?  Terrorism is an idea, not a defined government or army that we can  quantify and eradicated.  Terrorism will always exist.  So essentially what you are saying is suck it up forever?  I don't think so. 

I'm still not going to back the president on his little folly into Iraq and failed international relations.  The government can still do their wiretaps and other snooping when they obtain a warrant.

As for you last comment about my phone calls, this is the sign of some one grasping for straws when they know their argument has lost merit, and I will not justify it with a direct response.
Obviously, dip shit, the president can do the wire taps WITHOUT your personal personal objections.
