As far was I know its just a simple skin, I doubt EA would go the effort of crating a whole new weapon just for a few people who pre-order from best buy.

we all know how long its taken them to make 1.4

Well I think a new skin is better then the free rank up you get from EB/Gamestop considerinf you get a free rank for the Vets program, and I doubt EA will let you jump 2 ranks that quickly.

Actually they will. It says so at the Vet program's site.
