Which Graphics card do I need to run BF2 on High Graphics??

Hello trigger happy players,

I am really enjoying my time playing bf2 and have a nice collection of awards so far, but I want to improve the game play.

My graphics have defaulted to low and the game runs fine, I manually upped it to medium and although the graphics looked a bit better successful game play wasn't possible.

So who can tell me which graphics card I need that will allow me to play BF2 on HIGH/BEST Graphics!

Gigabyte GV-N59X128D Which is the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT
2 x 512MB DDR
P4 3.0 Ghz
Creative Audigy 2 ZS

All Latest Service packs, Drivers, Direct X, Patches and shit.

What RESOLUTION... This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.... People claim all the time that they run "Everything on High" but no mention of what Res they are using... it makes a HUGE difference. at 7800GS AGP card will run all high up to at least 1024x768 and probobly most high at 1280x1024

I'd like to see what kind of framerates i'm getting, so my question is this. Is that a server only setting that i could type a command in to display my framerate or is that a global thing that would show up on all servers after i type it?

this guy needs agp

ATIS best is x850XTPE, x850 pro, generally any X800 card bascially, then theres x1600PRO (I have one , its good, but not extremely great, but It can probably run all high with a good proc and 2gb ram)

best nvidia is a 7800GS (not worth the price atm) then theres a 7600GS, 6800GT(rare, costly), 6800, 6800XT 6800GS. those are your best bets for AGP

**edit also you need 2gb ram to run this game great.... its a system hog

I have a Nvidia 7300 GO with 2 gigs of ram. My graphics settings are all on high and I don't get any lag. Res is at 1280×1024.

i have the ati rx850xt and i play everything on maximum. in the game option and in ati control center everything is set to max.
plays perfect no lag and i can see miles perfect for sniping. lol.
resolution is 1280x1024 85mhz

also i got 3 gig of ram
and a p4D 3.20

i play the game smooth, very smooth

i had a 6800 gt and 2 gbs of ram, got a consistant 40 fps at 1600 x 1200 all on high 4 x AA, amazing card.

of course it doesnt really do the same thing my new 7900 gt does if you want to go in that direction. and to the guy above me, of course it will.. i hope your kidding

I can run everything on high (4*AA) 1600*1200 with framerates around 50-60.
My GFX: Gainward Bliss 7800GS+ 512Mb RAM AGP OC: 550@700Mhz.
(I've read it is the fastest AGP card avalible).
It's real fast, around 60% faster than my old 6800GT and problably around 20-50 times faster than Your 5900
The graphics card is NOT the item You want to save money on.
I've had a few (3) graphics errors with it though in the 1 month I've had it.

Nvidia 6800 i would say as a decent one
I am currently running a 6600 with everything on high but its overclocked
and i am getting rid of it for a 7900
But definately get 6800 that would be the best bet if u want to save money
otherwise go for a 7600 they are quite good! The BFG overclocked one will run it perfectly!
