ok... i shared a key with my friend and we both got into the same server so yep i must say u can use it on 2 computers or more

OK back on subject... I find it very hard to believe that u can use the same beta key on more than 1 comp... i find it even harder to believe that u can both get into the same server with it.
I guess CD Keys for 2142, on the Beta, but I know for a fact they do not work on vanilla BF2 or SF (have not tried with POE, but I think it is not mod dependent).

BF2142 however authenticates the key when you enter it (rather than when you go to play online), so you shouldn't be able to enter it on mulitple PCs, or even if you change your hardware a lot or format.
So if i get bored with 2142 i cant just give my key up to someone?!

a friend of mine shares keys with like 4 other people and they play online on different servers at the same time... (????)
i shared my CD key with my mates we cant play together i guarantee that u cant even log in with the same CD key

but i really did play with my other mate that is on the other side of the world with the same key...
its probably ip problem or mayb its just the key

::edit:: u can run the beta on two computers at the same time, when u try more computers u get the message 'KEY ALREADY IN USE ON TOO MANY PC's' or something like that
