I havent play BF2 in a while so i downloaded the newest upgrade of EA's website but when i went to play online it told me that my CD key was invalid. I had played many times before with the same CD and CD key. Should i download a new CD key and reainstall or is there an easier way
Welcome to BF2S!
Your answer comes from this thread.
CDKEY Issues
Problem - Invalid CDKEY when trying to join a server
Cause - Unencrypted CDKEY or bad Key
Fix - First Try this Program
If that does not help, Use battlefield2_code.exe to re-enter your CDKEY, this can be located in the support folder of where you installed battlefield 2 on your Hard-Drive.
After re-entering your CDKEY you must then reapply the latest patch in order for it to be encrypted into the registry.
Problem - I've lost my CDKEY
Cause - ...
Fix - There is a way for you to get a new CD Key/CD Disk. All you need to do is to call EA Support on 0870 243 2435 (thats if you are in the UK). If you are not in the UK then please contact your local EA Support Center.
In addition have your Battlefield 2 CD at the ready, as there is a number on the CD which you can tell the tech support team and they should be able to retrieve your CDKEY from that.
