Lets give everyone an idea what they can expect out of  there system running 2142

Post your specs, settings and average fps



With everything on High @ 1280x960  in a full server I am getting min 55-80 FPS

System:

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ o/c'ed to 2.7ghz
2 gigs DDR RAM @ 2-3-3-5
BFG 7900gt o/c'ed to 664 core/ 1650 memory watercooled ( running z-tweaked drivers )

Ran 3dmark 03 and 06 this morning

06: 5560

So 2142 takes a beast of a system to run at the highest settings. Guess its time to buy an extra 7900- sli ftw!

Hint: It is a tuning beta.
They mentioned several times that the BF2 engine has been used and they also mentioned several times that the release version will be optimised.
So, if you don't plan to buy an additional graphics card anyways, I wouldn't do so before you were able to play the final game.

I suspect that the textures included for the beta are not the high res textures we'll see in  the final (at least I hope so because it looks crap even with everything maxed).  Also, there will be more optimizing between now and release so beta FPS is really not that meaningful.

In my opinion, the new POE mod destroys 2142.  Its free, and they released it last night.  All new player skins, all new weapons, loadouts, vehicles, maps, gameplay modes, and structures.  Top notch quality.

I dont care what it is...It is still obviously a rough estimate If you have nothing to contribute to this thread dont waste my time making me read crap like your attempt at stating the obvious. Getting like at least 50fps at 1024x768 with 6x AA and 16x AF. I have no worries about the game being playable when the full, tuned version comes out. I even tried some Fraps recording and that stayed around the 40's.
