I help admin one of the servers for the Interstate '82 mod (www.is82.com) and have been trying to drag a few more bodies in the server for shooting practice... I also play BF2...
Was just wondering who is actively playing the 'mother' game still? ...and if any of those that do play bf42 mods would like to run people over in monster trucks or generally cruise about in heavily armoured Deloreans, Aston Martins and Lamborghini's killing people in suits. If so.. join us.

I suppose if I installed it again I'd play it. I installed it about 4-5 months ago and messed around w/ it for a while. Couldn't find a good server so I uninstalled it.

Yup, can't get enough of the old helo flying system, now its almost like auto pilot is stuck "in bf2".

I do miss fighting a flying school bus the best thing is when you blow one up and it falls and kills a T-90 or a BDRM and you get double the kills.

Ah, the folly of the multi-CD set...

If I were a less lazy and more responsible gamer (and I do realize that the words "responsible" and "gamer" should never appear next to each other) I'd probably still have my BF42 jewel case with both CDs inside of it. Unfortunately Disc 2 is present but Disc 1 is AWOL...probably either in my old rig's CD drive or buried under the 8 tons of computer crap directly behind my chair.

Anyways, let's just say thank God I have BF2 on one DVD that remains permanently welded into my drive.

And beleive it or not but there's also a patch for the mp demo
