I really have no idea which is the best deal, what do you all think. I am looking to spend like 300. But I may be able to score one for my B-day.

Those are PCI express. I believe 5600 never came in a PCI express, in which case you cannot use any of those cards.

Asus Asus Asus!

I'm running dual 6800's PCI and can run my settings on Ultra without lag.  Two other friends have the 7800's.  Both SLI systems, one is running two cards and the other a single.  Both can max the game out as well.

No.  It's PCIe just like all the other ones.  Find an AGP card.

What the heck is BFG or EVGA (sounds more like a resolution mode than a manufacturer)? Never ever heard of those
Only bad thing with asus is that it seems impossible to get better d/l-rates than 5kB/s from any of their sites

Edit: I'm also thinking about getting an 7900GT (my radeon 9800XT is getting tired), just the topic for me

BFG and EVGA are both known for their factory overclocked cards and lifetime warranties, either one is quality buy.

I am partial to BFG...thats what I have used in every system that I have built both personal and those for customers and not once have I had a problem with them. They are awesome overclockers even beyond what the factory pushes them.

@ Superior, what you really should do is save up for a new motherboard that supports PCI-E, AGP is lacking in performance and is a huge bottleneck. If you must keep your current MB then go ahead with the 7800.

Superior Mindsave up and buy a new system altogether. If you're on a showstring budget (like I am) then might I suugest the following??

RAM - Keep (it should run a PCi motherboard)
HDD - Keep (It will also be compatible with a PCi board)
Processor - I recommend the Pentium D 805 (it can be o/c'ed to 4GHz) goto www.tomshardware.com for more)
Video Card - 2x7600GT SLi
PSU - At least a 500w PSU
Motherboard - A Pentium SLi board.

This comes to about AUD$1000

My 2 cents

My extremely unprofessional opinion is to get the 512 mb (I was just looking at that the other day...)
because games today are stressing the 256 mb, what about the games of the future?

Dude that thing has a whopping 32mb of ram. I am pretty sure you will be able to play crysis with everything on high when it comes.

What kind of motherboard do you have...this will clear up the AGP vs PCI vs. PCIE debate...
