Looks like most PCs that can play BF2 on High wil be Medium - Low High on 2142... oh well my new PC should be able to run it on medium and maybe even some high settings
7900 series should run fine as long as you got the latest video card driver....Kaosdad008 wrote:
BUGGER!!!! The Graphics card I just got is not on the fuxorn list! I can't believe that they won't support the 7950 GX2!
i got 7900GT and it runs on any older games...

Hey, I was wondering if this will play it on High/Medium atleast settings:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Processor w/ HyperTransport and Dual Core Technology
Motherboard: NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI Motherboard
Memory: 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 SDRAM at 800MHz - 2 x 1024MB
System Drive: Single Drive Configuration - 250GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s 7,200 RPM w/ 8MB Cache
Graphics Processor: Dual 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 7900 GT - SLI Enable
Will that run BF2124 on high? Also a offtopic question: Is dual or single card better?

Is there any way this game would work on my comp?
I have Radeon 9200. BF2 worked perfectly with it. Not with High settings, but low-medium setting.
I tried 2142 beta but it didn't work at all.
Windows XP
Radeon 9200
Intel Pentium 4 2,8 GHz
512 DDR Ram

I don't know why but they always use INTEL PENTIUM for the specs and rarely use AMD on specs. Hope this helps.Jbrar wrote:
ya probly, my card wasn't on bf2's original list (Radeon 9550) but it works fine even on high sometimes.
Have a question though, when they do the processor recomendation, are they talking intel or amd, cause like my old socket A amd athlon xp 1.9ghz runs lag free compared to my buds old 2.6 intel p4
I have a AMD Athlon64 3800+ X2(2Ghz). It is the same as a INTEL P4 3Ghz to 3.2Ghz cpu.
Sweet Ass!!!...Hope the game is good just like BF2
Thank god the 9550 will play it. For some reason it wont play BF2. But thats not a GFX problem, some patching problem..
Funny considering EA/DICE parnered with Nvida on this and yet they dont support all of nvidas cards. Bumber for u Nvida Fan boys
ATI FTW!!!!!! (or should i say AMD now?)

~ Do you not know that in the service … one must always choose the lesser of two weevils?
Have you got your computer tweaked for bf2? A few simple tricks had my sub-par system playing everything on high with very little stutter, and even that clears up in the first minute.Dustydogg wrote:
I meet the requirements, actually exceed them, but my bf2 crashes alot and it never runs on high or smoothly....but still fun i could pwn better if it ran on the requirements they said, well good enough anyway.
FYI
2.8 P4
1 gB 2700 ram
6600gt
will 2142 work with a 6600 GT 256mb ? i can run bf2 on medium so i shud be able to run 2142 fine right ?

I just have all that. I need 2 more Mb and I'll be there. I'm unfortunatly going to be on low again with lots of lag.

Can play at maximum setting at 1024x768 75hz.Dunno at 1600x1200,probably have to tune back some then.RADEON X600 will do fine at medium settings with your specs if your clockspeeds are high enough.Speed is more important then mb's.I'd go for a 7600GT if you want to play with reasonable FPS at higher settings. It won't set you back much, bout €200,-
