Yup, agreed. Some people just forget the reason they bought the game: for fun. Some other, people, said "cock riding, dingleberry munching bitches", buy the game and hack with it for no foreseeable reason to the rest of us. Maybe they're trying to make up for something? Also, Here's the last thing: I've never seen anyone 2nd lieutenant or above hack. And the noobs that do hack, with their low ranks (mostly somewhere in the lance corporal to master Sergeant range) absolutely suck at it, even with their hacks. Some people shouldn't be playing games against other people. In fact, those little script kiddies should be hacked and taught the true meaning of "black hat" hacking.

From all my BF2 hours I can only say I've only come across one hacker (car drop thing)

I have seen a few High rankers hack. You would be suprised when you Admin a server and can check PB SS.. I thought they were just good but we get around 5 -7 Hackers a WEEK on our server.
See I dont get how people can have fun by watching the screen, not pressing anything and see people die. HOW, How HOW is that fun?

OK, let me ask this: In "your professional opinion" on a 64 player servers (BF2) how many are activly cheating? By that I mean any sort of exploit, aim-bot, etc.
From expierence. It mostly depends on the map, you wouldnt really get any cheaters on Zatar Wetlands, Cheats work best in enclosed maps, Strike, Sharqi, Mashtuur for instance.Kaosdad008 wrote:

You will se 60% of Cheaters in Karkand on 16 - 32 maps IMO, they wouldnt go on 64 because people COULD rival their score if their in it for the Medals etc and it would be very easy to see if someone was hacking with 70 kills 15 deaths all on foot. Usually I see many of them in 16 Player Karkand - 24 Players because usually there are ' newbies ' on these maps and are ripe to get owned and they wouldn't really expect Hackers.
So dont stay on 16 - 24 man servers on Kark if you see some shady goings !
This is all just from expierence guys so you dont need to take my word from it, half the reason I made this post is because I have seen some ' really good ' guys on my clans 16 server on Karkand, I checked them out on PB and about 3 people on the server were hacking !!
So be aware there WILL be hacks in 2142 unfortunatly folkes

I'm not sure why people are so surprised by this... as 2142 uses the same engine (same code, same bullet detection etc) as BF2 I'm sure most of the hacks that float around in BF2 are quite quickly transferable to 2142.

I always say to people: the stupid haxs that godjoey, godkevin and all them dudes at teamgod.net, is a self fullfilling prophecy. of course there were a negligible amounts of haxs before this happeneed. now i see haxs being used in large numbers.
Punkbuster is not doing their homework like always. look at what happened to CSS.
i am not going to get 2142, not right away. i am going to wait a few months then ask my friend if its worth the headache.

Honestly, at the current time the hackers have won. They have figured out a way to rotate MD5 hashes. That is how PB does it's job is to compare MD5 hashes of loaded programs to a db of MD5 hashes of known hacks. That's all PB does and from what I have heard all they plan to do in the future.
Until anti-cheat technology steps it up a notch you can pretty much give up on preventing hacks for now. It sucks but that is where the cat an mouse game is right now..........advantage mouse.

THERE IS NO CARTILLERY IN BF2142, PROBABLY WILL NOT WORK... (sorry for caps but i think this hack might be made so that people will pay for it before the game comes out, then they will not beable to use it as it is a complete fake) To me this almost sounds like a good idea to rip off skilless players and catch them for attempting to hack. This might not be their plan but it could, just maybe be true.

You guys gotta stop getting so damn worried. BF2142 IS THE SAME ENGINE AS BF2. BF2142 won't all of a sudden have aimbots or anything else that BF2 didn't have.
