It's probably not an automatic check for a stat to be reset.  We can guess this because others with a similar high stat have not been reset (assuming we are looking at the stat they are).

The way it probably works is someone reports the player and then they check the stat.  The reporter may also have to report the stat that is out of whack.  So, for example, I might be able to report one of you others with a 400+ and accuse you of stat padding in a specific instance and they would then reset you.

It is unfortunate because it shows that if you make someone mad and have a stat out of whack for some odd reason, even if it's legit, your likely get get reset.

Actually your Leviathan score of 326 (in 9 hours and 28 rounds) looks more suspicious than the Songhua, Karkand or Sharqi scores.

EDIT:  Just curious, has anyone seen a 326 on Leviathan before?  Is it possible that KC shows up in the EA database as having the hightest score (by a lot) on that map?
Again, commander x2 score.

It's not that they won't provide you with proof, it's because they can't!

The part I find scary is that if it was because of his best round score then he was clearly punished for other peoples actions. By that I mean, his best round score was obtained when he was commander, which is derived from the teams overall average score and then doubled if his team wins. So he didn't have to do anything to get his score, a bunch of other people who got obviously very higher scores (and in some cases much higher) were the ones responsible.

So what I would like to know is where is the cutoff line for best round score before it warrants a stats reset? It's pretty damn hard to play by the rules when we don't know what they are......

And another thing, if someone gets caught hacking they get a 2 minute ban by Punkbuster, and at worst a GUID ban meaning you have to buy a new CD key. It won't get your stats reset unless someone catches you in the act (or you drop yourself in like that nitro dude did) but if you play legit and break an unknown rule then your whole playing history goes out the window in one foul swoop. Where is the justice in that?

If crimson loses his stats, then hackers/cheaters/exploiters like dodo and the like should also get reset. Fairs fair after all isn't it? Obviously not where EA is concerned.

Sure.  And (again), I don't see anything in your stats TAKEN BY THEMSELVES as anything that would indicate padding.  However, when an EA guy says Numbers our advanced player base can not achieve in a couple rounds of play.

(a)  I noticed that you had only a few rounds (loosely a "couple" of rounds) on that map ... yet a very high score.
(b)  That is not a popular map, so it is likely that very few people (if any others) have acheived that high of a score ... contrast that with Karkand where there are probably 10,000 scores over 500.
(c)  [speculating]EA looks in their player base and notices that KC has the highest score on that map, and the next highest score is 145 ... they conclude that you must have padded[/speculating]

EDIT:   Strike that speculation ... I noticed that the #47 player has a higher score than you on Leviathan ... funny, he also has a higher score than you on Songhua ... so, unless they didn't look at his stats, this isn't your issue.

OK ... here's my final thought .... Tactical Weaponry Support Badge since Veteran (100 deployments) and Expert (500 deployments) were received on the same day?

(Was that a medal change?  Did you do 400+ deployments in regular BF2, and then hop on a SF server to get both badges?)

Well, I've come to the end, then.  I'm sure EA doesn't put their best and brightest talent on Stat Police, so someone has made a conclusion there that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.  Hopefully IndianScout will have some influence and get someone else to look into this ...

Best of luck!

12 pages of this?  Are you kidding me.  He got reset, end of story.  I hope you didn't cheat, but it appears you did because they reset you.  If they were wrong, then I will join you in bashing them.  Can we drop this until he gets his stats back?

After the {TA}Firestorm debacle, I am of the opinion that EA's resetting of an account is not proof positive that someone is guilty of cheating.

Well that really sucks... EA seems pretty harsh in their decision. Regardless of cheating/not cheating, they could try and be more helpful for someone convinced the system has done him wrong, and with so many people supporting him. (It would look good for EA at least, and we could all rest easier). I'd like to see a mathematical break down of how say a score of 460 or whatever is too high.

There is a reason why we advocate trials and legal procedures for real world law. If we punished people by just looking at a few numbers, we're bound to have a few false positives. Granted, Bf2 is just a game and in no way am I comparing real world law to EA's stat reset actions; I'm just saying that without screenshots, other user descriptions, etc, stats are not enough to justify resetting in all cases. And all of that is worthless if they don't disclose the evidence to us gamers, since what faith do I have that as I keep getting better and score higher, my score won't be reset unfairly.

And as for Dodoextinct... I'm pretty sure everyone here plays for fun dude. BF2 is a game, I don't think you can't play it to not have fun. Thing is, some people have fun just casually playing, others have fun tking/cheating/glitching/hacking, and some others have fun working up their stats. Others yet have fun playing in Armor/Aircraft. Why do you feel you can tell people how they should play the game and what is "fun" for them. While stats may be meaningless to you, to some of us it represent some of the work (or I guess play lol) we have invested in the game. Kind of a diary of our gaming adventures. I like to check the graphs for example to see how my game has improved over time, setting targets to reach at some point hopefully. Stupid to you, fun for me, it's all relative.

you know its kinda funny. volx dives all around and yet he hasnt got reset (but then again i dont know if you would consider dolphin diving a exploit or not). but i see alot of generals getting their stats reset even though more than half of them say they were legit. so i think its pretty obvious whats going on here. theyre keeping a close eye on all the generals. so if you dont want to get reset, colonel FTW!

I guess the lesson here is don't go commander, your score if you win will be doubled and they will reset you, if you win the round (so you would have to ensure your team lost all the time), and don't bother ranking up, or they will target you. Also, don't invest time on ranks in any game that the manufacturer has a player base that is not as good as the best players, or they'll accuse you of cheating, which is likely as their player base is unlikely to contain the top players.

Very unprofessional of EA.

Anyone that does that many hours should not be reset, a lesser punishment fine but after 1k or more hours that is bs.

So basically, do the opposite of what the point of the game is and you'll be fine... got it.

Agreed. I will add to your point which I think you would yourself have liked to add, that some ways are unacceptable. Like tk'ing on purpose for no reason/cheating/glitching/hacking.

I can't tell people how they should play. I want to perform telling people how they shouldn't play.

I don't want to make this post sound like I just gave birth to myself out of my own asshole, so I'll stop here.

If you are a commander and win, you get double, and some games early morning end up going for quite some time, so the scores end up higher. But if you average out the time, say 2 hours for that game, by say the 230 points, that's 115 points per hour of normal game play. It's not hard to get 115 points an hour of play, unless you are a noob.
