Only thing nastier than bud is coors. First beer I had was bud, and I didn't like beer because of it. Then I had some real stuff. Mickey's is a good light beer. But my favorite is Hidden River Black & Tan from a micro brewer in Minnesota. Newcastle is pretty good. If you want something interesting try Mackeson. It has kind of a smoky flavor to it.

I tend to like lagers and IPAs more than anything else. Redhook IPA, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. If I'm at a party or plan on drinking more than 6-10, Coors Light is the way to go.

I'd make a suggestion to try out some Rogue Ales. They're by far my favorite. Specifically the Hazlenut Brown Nectar.
My godfather's bro brewed it, and it's a worldwide winner of many competitions.
