ey guys i was playing internode 18 special forces daymaps on wednday and we got around to warlord.. as usual after we caped a palace point the shit hits the fan

so i drop a few clays with the hope of killing some enemys i stood watching my claymore like a hawk i seen a few folks run close to it then realising it was a claymore and backing off .. others just ran right up to it looked at it an jumped on it =[ instent punish... what makes it worse is there were medics everywhere once u died u were zaped up in less then 3 seconds so he dident need to punish but he felt compaled to i spose any ways i ran around the fighting an got into the enemys flag area i new i wasent goin to make it out alive so i ran around shooting my pistol with about 7 insurgent guys chasing me i chucked my 2 claymores and bolted out the area as i left i was mowed down by a pkm just intime to hear BOOOM! 5 kills with 2 clays =]


so i was wondering how you guys use claymores and at mines in friendly fire on servers

Funny thing is, very occasionally.... if someone sees the clay, suicides on them and punished me.... the red mist decends and i just have to give them a FULLY intentional TK and type over global chat " THERE YOU GO ASS! - NOW IS THE APPROPRIATE TIME TO PUNISH ".

God help them if the do it again in that round.....

Think before you drop them, who will get to them first, the enemy or your team mates (if its offensive deployment). All it takes is a little more thought then just spam a door or alley way. If you do, do that, don't expect people to find an alternative route that take 3 times as long. Its your mine so think about where it could be used effectively without restricting your teams movements. If you do just spam them in highly used walkways you deserve to be punished, not because you killed a team mate but because you don't think about what you are doing.

Claymores are there mainly for def purposes and if left at tops of ladders for your def you are entitle to be pissed if someone climbs the ladder and gives you -4 points if they punish or not. But when attacking (and don't say you cant do it cause you can) you must be more precise as to what you think the claymore/mine will achieve and where to put it.

What I'm getting from this drivel is that you placed claymores in a location held by your own team instead of taking the fight to the enemy's part of the building.  IMO you deserved every punish you got.

I never use clays or mines on a free server, because people don't take care.
For instance on Karkand. There are 4 entries from US to hotel and if I mine two of them, guess which entry the teammates take. Even if you block the steps as sniper teammates will 'join' you.
Also on Sharqui, I laid mines at TV tower just up the road in a manner, that the tank can pass. Guess where they go. Always when there are two entries and you mine ONE .......... (fill out).
On the other hand, sometimes ENgs lay mines so you won't be able to get out (lol).

ok sonny, first off, I doubt that you've even played BF2 pre-1.2. You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. In those good old days, claymores were destructable, and teamkilled friendlies whether you liked it or not. In those days, a sniper sniped. You are a waste of a good ghillie suit, running around spamming your invincible mines in alleyways or other places where they can hardly be avoided. You can't hit shit with guns, so you spam claymores instead to compensate. That is what makes you the lowlife of bf2, a pathetic piece of a crap that is a waste of a server slot that could otherwise be filled by a real player.


I have experienced virtually every aspect of this game, unlike you. I would never sink to your level and complain about something such as jets, nades, or c4, as they can all be avoided. You claymore spammers, however, are just there to spoil the game for all the other players on the server who came there for some good infantry action.

Do you think that you have any right to discuss this game?  you are new, absolutely crap at it, and haven't got an ounce of common sense. Do you want to know why people run into your claymores on FF-on servers? because on the vast majority of servers thesedays CFF is off and there is nothing to tell you so. so when you plant your claymore in the hotel alleys on karkand people don't expect to get blown to shit by some retard and his inability to play properly.

Here's a tip: Go play another genre. You are clearly worthless at fps games, and resort to using the worst gamebreaking tactics. There are plenty of other games out there that cater to your need for 'fun'. Go play those, but don't ruin an online game because of your inabilities.

You deserve to get punished as my previous statement explains.. Why The FUCK are you minning the entrance to the hotel, that is where 70% of all ally troops are, Ok there are more exits but that gives you no right to block 2 of them. These other exits may be needed as there's armor or PKM campers at the others, try to fucking think before you deploy clays near you troops. maybe at the entrance just at the bottom of the hill, or over the right protecting the square.

I have no fucking sympathy for you one bit. In fact I might just jump on the clay purposefully (if there's a medic around to revive me) and punish in the hope you'll learn or get kicked. Its idiots like you that make people complain about claymores when if placed correctly many people have no issue with, and can accept a well placed strategic deployment.
