If you hate the game the way it is now, you shouldn't have complained about the way it was then.

A company has an obligation to provide a product that is 'as advertised' and functions as it should. As a matter of fact, if a company screws up too bad, they get in trouble. Hell, McDonald's got in trouble for a burger not looking like a picture. ....a 2 dollar burger.
People spent money to buy this game, and they are entitled to a product that works. If EA/Dice can't live up to a user's expectations, then that user have EVERY RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. It's okay though, you don't have to like that fact. You can actually disagree, and this is a great place to discuss it. Afterall, without the users, this site wouldn't be here.

I'm in the gaming industry and it can be fucking hell getting something done on time. EA push dice to get things finished because theyve got these deadlines to meet, if they dont meet them, they lose money.
EA have to publish a game, all over the world. Thats a lot of shelf space for that game, if EA miss the deadline theyre supposed to have the game in the shops, they lose all the shelf space and it ends up going to another game. Retailers get annoyed and might not even allocate as much space next time in fear they wont reach the deadline again.
EA lose money, cant afford to pay salaries and make games, they fire people. EA just care that BF2 is out, it's had a hell of a lot of people buy it, so 2142 is actually just a thing to make money money theyve been losing, theyve got the base with the BF2 engine so they dont have to rework anything drastic. Don't have to spend much money, get a team to do the skins etc and you've got a new game in no time. "officially" its not a mod, but it is really. EA are just pushing it as a new game and hope they'll make more money from Average Joe who doesnt know anything about what EA are doing
