Old Testament, but a nice try. Context people, it's all about context.
Hilarious. It sounds like they got a bunch of 5 year olds to write down a load of insults and then recorded it on an 8-track. What a sad and petty world we live in.delta4bravo*nl* wrote:

Yet the Israelis seem to expect it to stop terrorism. I suppose if they kill all of them (every single Arab in the Middle East) it won't be a problem.
Why nice try? The Old Testament is still the word of God, for Christians AND Jews. The New Testament does not make the old one null and void. Remember that it was the Old Testament that prophetized the comming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.Erkut.hv wrote:

I just wonder who the asshole is that came up with this plan...

Now is that God said kill the non-believers, or is that "They" (whoever they are in this passage) killed the non-believers? No difference i hear from the back? OK, the Koran passage was meant to be the word of God, i.e. of the all-powerful and all-knowing. The passage that Poe has pulled is the work of Man and as such is open to all the 'evil' influences and corruptions of the flesh. If the passage was as damning as Poe would like us to believe, wouldn't God have instructed us to kill the non-believers rather than leave it to the reporting of history?jonsimon wrote:

Similarly, the bible is meant to be the word of god; both documents having been written entirely by humans as opposed to 'deities'. The post was not meant to demonise christianity but was in response to another inane 'there's nothing like that in christianity?' / 'show me where it says something like that in the bible?' jibe by Erkut.hvJainus wrote:

War is hell.
God seems very strange to me. I have trouble gauging his opinion - his statements are almost always contradictory.

The Koran quotes are the word of God given directly to his prophet and written down. The Bible quote that you've provided is the actions of Man, written down. You can't really argue that God 'didn't mean it' but you can look at an action by Man and condemn it. My point is that where the Koran has God telling them to kill the unbelievers, the Bible has Man killing the unbelievers. Do you honestly think that there isn't a difference between the view points? The Christian God hasn't said kill anybody, only the complier of that section of the Bible.CameronPoe wrote:

What I do accept is that it does say it in the Bible and Erkut.hv's jibe was answered quite nicely. But the fact remains that from your quote, a Muslim God has said kill the unbeliever whilst a Christian God hasn't (although there probably is a quote somewhere in the Bible that'll illustrate your point)
Thanks for showing it to me...But I am kinda confused help me out would you...CameronPoe wrote:

29:46 "And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one;

I'm all for them shutting off food, water, electricity, and I'd cheer if they could find a way to shut suck all the oxygen out of the atmosphere in greater Lebanon.
Why?
The Lebanese government and citizenry ALLOW Hezbollah terrorists to live in their houses, shop in their stores, walk their streets, and store weapons caches in their country.
If you ALLOW terrorists to set up shop in your country, you deserve to get killed because by tacit approval YOU ARE A TERRORIST.
You're asking people to make a distinction between a sin of commission and a sin of omission. I think they're equal. Whether you load the bomb into the launcher, or let your backyard be used to set it up, you're a terrorist.
I can guaran-goddamned-tee you that if my next door neighbor were diddling little girls or shooting people two blocks over I'd turn him over to the government, and if they didn't do anything about it I'd run his ass out of the neighborhood or fill him full of lead.

The people of Israel deserve to live in peace. The Lebanese people have been told by the israelis via leaflets that they should evacuate the areas to avoid civilian casulaties. Now I dont know about the rest of you all but even if I had no shoes, no car, or no money me and my daughter would be gone in some what of a rush no matter what the circumstances are. When someone tells you to leave because you life is in danger you leave. So I have no sympathy for the so called "innocents" that are killed. I look at it this way if I was warned to leave or possibly die, and I don't then I am stupid as SH*T for staying. Now if i get killed because I am letting terrorists set up shop in my town and fire rockets from my backyard I am no longer a civilian I am now contributing to the terrorists cause and YES I then deserve to die. So either way I'm sick of hearing about innocent civilians getting killed, the terrorists are using them as human shields. And when the civilians die the terrorists look glorious and we get the black eye. Just my 2 cents worth.

This video shows the scum bags using residential areas for launching rockets, shows the Qana attack, and so on.
Now, for all you Israel haters... Tell me again that it is not the blood of these dead on the hands of the hezzies? They are committing war crimes and no one is screaming about this! Israel is at war, and according to the Fourth Geneva convention and Article 51 of the UN Charter, Hezbollah is engaging in war from civilian positions!
I don't know what other evidence you'll need, but, Israel will come up with more, the more desperate the hezzies become!

The third one was the best IMO. Getting the Israelis to admit Nazi types of war crimes because of "military necessity", and getting them to state the U.S. will cover it up.--->[Your]Phobia<--- wrote:

Love the Israeli soldier training pictures on how to interrogate a prisoner, brutally abuse him.
And the most sickening, soldiers holding a man/teenager while another breaks his arm with a rock and hits him on the head and back with it, fuck Israel.
If the guy next door to me got on TV and said "Dersmikner and his entire race should be wiped from the planet and Allah will give us that land for believers" I'd ass-jack his teenager with a Louisville Slugger too... and feel mighty self-satisfied when it was over I might add.
The US, UK and others decided that it was justified to setup and support the state of Israel, accepting the argument that historically it was their land. I look forward to the day when a sizeable chunk of the US is handed back to the native Americans.
Still, it speaks against Judaeism.Erkut.hv wrote:
