Ignoring of course the fact that they killed 3 other soldiers in their raid and as a diversionary attack used katyusha rockets on the civilians in Shlomi injuring several. Then in their response to retrieve them an Israeli tank hit a Hezbollah mine killing 4 and then one more shot while retrieving the bodies. All of this occurring before any Lebanese person was harmed. Then the direct response to this sequence was the bombing of the airport and the power plant. Only this can be considered the response to the killing and kidnapping of the IDF soldiers plus the 5 related to the tank. The conflict you see today has nothing to do with the raid now and everything to do with Hezbollah escalating the violence attacking Israeli citizens.

So is bombing infrastructure in response to Hezbollahs acts of war killing of 8 IDF soldiers disproportionate? I hardly think so.. of course you can try to portray it as such by not mentioning the 8 dead Israelis and represent the entire conflict to be based on said event.
