Israel controls all press that go into and out of israel, so they have control of what the world see's. And the western world seems to have this constant guilt thing, whenever someone mentions the holocaust, its all oh, sorry jews, we'll put you in the good light. Yes the holocaust was horrible, yes the majority of people who died were jewish, but why should that still be used whenever someone says something bad about jewish people?

Some of the pictures you linked are quite shocking. The kind of pictures our media won't show for fear of putting Mrs Smith off her dinner, or so we are told. iF Mrs Smith seen these pictures she would have empathy, our governments don't want that. I live in Northern Ireland (Britain) and the news is dumbed down to cover over the real life's that are being taken. They are just numbers to most ppl. The Republic Of Ireland news on the other had will show you gore. Perhaps the most disturbing even with all the gore is the pictures of Israeli children writing messages on the Arty shells and then the picture taken that same day of Lebanese babies blown to shit by Israeli arty. It definatly is NOT any type of oppression. If they could just admit defeat (which happend a long time ago,) then there would be no need for occupation. In spite of all of this occupational "oppression," there are still constant attacks in israel. Its funny that everyone oppossed to the war is saying that it all started over one solider being taken captive. However, people failed to remember that in the months leading up to the war, there has been the most suicide bombings in Isreel since the last cease fire. The government has placed a known terrorist group in charge of security (quite ironic), and the group was not only responsible for the suicide attacks, but also for a propaganda machine such as safely setting off bombs on the beaches and blaming israli rockets in a meager attempt to get some type of politcal preassure.
Obviously they were asking for a war, if they are over there being drama queens and faking attacks for the news. If thats what they want, then they should be prepared for the consequences. Either that or have their own government take some responsiblity and get rid of the terrorists. Israel took the land, the same as every other establishment was created. Maybe its time for them to stop focusing on the small piece of land that they don't have, and accept and appreciate what they do have.
I am, and always have been against the Iraq war because there never was any proof that they had WMD, were harbouring terrorists, or were generally up to no good. I do feel that this particular instance is completely legitamate, though very unfourtunate.
